Important Notes: Placement Outcomes
100% of participants who pursued institutional finance careers have received finance-related job offers, measured over a long-term horizon rather than immediate post-program hiring. This, however, is not a guarantee.
Many participants enter the program as undergraduates or early-career professionals. Placement outcomes are therefore tracked over 5–10 years and reflect progression into leading investment banks, hedge funds, private equity firms, asset managers, and corporate development teams across global financial centers.
Placements are achieved externally and measured longitudinally, rather than within the typical 3–6 month post-graduation window used by business schools. See outcomes →

Three Designations, Three Different Things
Chartered Investment Banker™
Awarded on completion of the Residency’s Investment Banking discipline — on the Focused Track (Investment Banking) or, together with the CHFA™, on the Comprehensive Track. Swiss Finance Academy’s Investment Banking course also leads to the CIB™; the Academy describes it as validating the ability to build financial models, structure deals, and deliver at the standard top-tier banks expect.
Chartered Hedge Fund Analyst™
Awarded on completion of the Residency’s Hedge Funds discipline — on the Focused Track (Hedge Funds) or, together with the CIB™, on the Comprehensive Track. It is the Residency’s hedge fund designation and is distinct from the CHFM™.
Chartered Hedge Fund Manager™
A separate designation earned through Swiss Finance Academy’s hedge funds and alternative investments course, covering strategy construction, risk management, portfolio optimisation, and fund operations at an institutional level. It is not awarded by the Residency.
Designations are completion designations for the programs named above. They are not degrees, academic credits, or regulatory licences, and they do not promise any employment outcome. Tuition pays for the educational program; it does not buy an internship, a job, or a placement.
Both tracks are educational programs held to the same standard. Each leads to a completion designation (see Designations); neither is a degree or a regulatory licence, and neither promises any employment outcome.
